Cameron and Tiffany, McKennah, Mason, and Kaden got to come visit us in Dartmouth the first week of April. We were so excited!! The week before we had some really nice days of sunny weather but this week turned out to be pretty cold and windy. Almost too windy to want to do anything outside. But we were determined to make the best of it. President and Sister Low were very kind to come to the office and watch it so we could leave and spend time with our family.
The first day we went to lunch at Cheese Curds to introduce them to Poutine. Then we drove to the cemetery where many victims of the Titanic disaster are buried as well as markers for some of those who died in the great Halifax Explosion. We found a Boyle name on one of them. Maybe a relative?? Who knows.
The next day the weather wasn't any better so we decided to go to downtown Halifax to the Maritime Museum which was on the list of things that Tiffany wanted to do. One of the best parts was that there was a play area for the little boys to spend time in while Mom and Dad looked through the museum.

On Friday the rain stopped, the sun was shining, and the wind was still blowing. We decided to take a day trip to PEI- or Prince Edward Island. All of the touristy stuff was still closed for the winter season but we could still drive around see the island that was made famous by Lucy Maud Montgomery's stories of Anne of Green Gables.

Right after we crossed the Confederation Bridge onto the Island. The wind was freezing but we were still trying take some pictures.
| Our next stop was Wendy's in Charlottetown for lunch. |
THEN we found the Anne of Green Gables Store in Charlottetown!
Yes- that is raspberry cordial!!

We even found our own Anne of Green Gables!!

We also stopped to look in a small church/sanctuary that we had found on a previous visit to Charlottetown. There are so many churches all over Eastern Canada.

Next we drove to Cavendish to see the home where Lucy Maud Montgomery was born and the house where she grew up. The Visitor Center there was closed for remodeling but everyone was able to walk around the grounds while I stayed in the car with a sleeping Kaden.

After having a full long day of driving decided to sleep in and relax Saturday morning. It was General Conference Saturday but, since we are on the East Coast we weren't going to be able to watch the broadcast until 1:00 PM. Cary took Cameron and McKennah and Mason to the Farmers Market at Alderney Square to look for some sea glass jewelry. It was another grey and cloudy day but they still braved the weather and went out on the pier long enough to get some pictures taken.
After watching the session of Conference we decided to go for a drive to let the kids get out of the apartment for awhile. We went to Lawrencetown Beach to see the ocean--and take more pictures. We stopped at a small market close by and got some ice cream--probably the only customers he had all day.

Sunday turned out to be the first sunny day. We tried unsuccessfully to listen to Conference because it was just too much for the little boys so we decided to take the ferry from Dartmouth to Halifax and then back--after taking a few pictures--and then headed out to Peggy's Cove.

Mason loved climbing around on the rocks.
Suddenly it was time for them to go home. It was so fun having them around and sharing what we love about living in this part of the world. These last pictures were taken in front of the Mission Office. They stopped by with a dozen donuts from Tim Hortons before leaving for the airport.
